Our 5-day, all-inclusive experience, on our beautiful site in the Hudson Valley, is filled with nature, outdoor adventure, sports, arts, dancing, ruach (spirit), and so much more!

A fun-filled experience for chanichim (campers) young and old!

Summertime fun for the whole family!

You can look forward to:

Standard Bunk

This is the classic rustic camp experience! You’ll be staying in one of our regular camper bunks. The only difference is, you’ll have it all to yourself! Each family, no matter how big or small, will have an entire bunk to themselves. You’ll notice there’s lots of room, and you probably won’t use the whole thing.

  • Indoor private bathroom with 2 toilets, 2 showers, and 2 sinks
  • Electricity, including overhead lights and plenty of outlets
  • Camp-style bunk beds
  • No heating or air conditioning – we will provide fans and recommend that you bring layers to wear at night…it could get chilly!
  • Linens provided

Frequently Asked Questions

Family Camp is geared towards families with children ages 2-13, however all are welcome! Both current & alumni Ramah families and families joining our community for the first time are encouraged to attend. Ramah Family Camp is a wonderful first entry point for a first-time Camp Family.

The retreat officially begins on Thursday, August 21, 2025, at 11:00 AM. The program concludes on Monday, August 25, 2025. Rooms must be vacated by 12:30 PM, and the closing tekes (ceremony) will occur at 2:00 PM.

Ramah Berkshires is an Egalitarian shomer Shabbat and strictly kosher facility with an on-site mashgiach and eruv. We ask that all guests refrain from driving on campgrounds and using cell phones in public spaces during the Sabbath. Egalitarian Shabbat and weekday services will be offered for those wishing to attend. Additionally, we’re thrilled to offer Jewish learning opportunities for learners of all ages.

Camp is a rustic environment. While it is family friendly, there is a lot of uneven ground and some hilly, gravelly terrain. Please be mindful if you have difficulty walking unassisted, as there is no golf cart transportation service around Camp. Shoes with heels should be avoided, as they can cause serious injury.

The retreat is scheduled for rain or shine. Camp will have a full schedule of engaging and exciting activities developed for each day in case of inclement weather.

There is Wi-Fi in the Moadon (lounge), the office, and several locations around camp, including most non-bunk housing cabins.

There will be delicious meals served in the chadar ochel (dining room) and snacks available at different times during the day. If you need to bring food into your cabins, please ensure it is kosher. It is also important to keep food in sealed containers to prevent unwelcome “visitors.” To protect the safety of all the guests and campers, Ramah Berkshires is a “nut-free” facility.

Please contact us to explore any dietary needs. Our professional food service team can accommodate nearly any dietary restrictions!

The CRB Health Center (Marp) will not be operational during the retreat. However, there will be CPR/First Aid certified staff present at all times who can handle emergencies.

Additionally, there are hospitals and urgent care centers within driving distance of Camp.

There will be several Ramah staff members at the retreat who will make sure you have a wonderful experience. If you need to contact us before the retreat, please email retreats@ramahberkshires.org.
