SolelimWe have had a full 4th week in Solelim, filled with many unique Ramah experiences. Monday evening, the entire camp gathered for eicha reading, to mark the beginning of Tisha B’Av.

Tuesday, in commemoration of Tisha B’Av, we had a day of sensitivity activities focused on the idea of communal rebuilding and growth. We also had the exciting opportunity to contribute to a camp wide yarn-bombing of our volleyball court, which will be displayed on Visiting Day.

Wednesday’s Yom Daled program was dedicated to New Year’s day around the world..

Solelim Girls

Thursday morning we had the honor of celebrating two different (simultaneous) Bar Mitzvah‘s in our edah.  During teffilot the families of the  Bnei Mitzvah  joined us as they were called up to the Torah for the first time.

We are sad to say goodbye to 25 of our friends, who will be leaving us after the first session, but at the same time we are all eager to greet the 13 new chanichim joining our edah for our second session.

I look forward to seeing all of you on Sunday!

Shabbat Shalom,

Eli Jacober
