Staff Training is in full swing…
Junior Counselors started their training in March when they were assigned online videos and quizzes discussing methods for conflict resolution, cultivating patience, and preventing relational aggression and gossip amongst campers. JC’s attended two hadracha sessions in the spring where they learned about the mission and vision of CRB, and they shared their expectations of becoming Jewish role models and creating a kehilah kedoshah (holy community).
CRB is extremely proud to have had more than 20 staff members participate in various staff training programs sponsored by the National Ramah Commission this spring.
The various retreats offered opportunities for our for music and performing arts specialists, athletics instructors, and outdoor educators to engage in skill buillding and professional development in their area of expertise. Ten of our returning counselors participated in Hebrew language training and have been planning programs that will helps campers improve their Hebrew skills. Seven of our Rashei Edot spent a week with roshim from all the Ramah camps sharpening their skills as facilitators, mentors, and Jewish educators.
Last week CRB hosted it’s first ever day of Music Hadracha for a group of six senior counselors. Lee Epstein, our Music Educator, shared innovative tunes and techniques that counselors will be using this summer to elevate camper’s experiences at tefillot and meals.
Experienced and well trained tzevet is what makes CRB the great place it is.
