Celebrating early, Thursday night’s Fourth of July concert was fabulous! It was already day nine of camp which means our campers have made their summer home in Wingdale and started kindling new relationships with their peers. CRB has been abuzz with activity and Thursday’s concert was a highlight.
Our outstanding leadership was able to end the concert for our youngest campers as the older campers moved in to enjoy the resounding music emanating from our Ulam. Brian Gelfand was the star. Tamar Friedman, an up and coming Israeli singer and guitarist, performed with Brian, too, adding a touch of middle eastern spunk. He is a legend here in camp, playing an amazing medley of American, Israeli and Hebrew songs. American Pie, is a camp favorite. So many of our campers know most of the words. It was fun to watch them engaged, garbed in patriotic costumes and singing with their counselors.
