What an amazing Opening week. This summer, our chanichim (campers) stepped off the buses embraced by energetic madrichim (counselors) ready to embark on a terrific summer experience—kayitz 2016. Peulot (activities), starting on day #2, automatically set a routine allowing all of our miktzoim (specialists) the opportunity to expose your children to the wonders of art, sport, drama, farming, rock wall climbing, high ropes, biking, swimming, cooking and lots more!
With confidence, I enter my last summer as camp director, feeling blessed to have amassed such an incredibly talented and competent staff. The kayitz is definitely off to a magnificent start! With warm days and cool evenings, the weather, too, has been cooperative. Camp is full of ruach and sheer excitement. Read about each edah below and you’ll begin to understand what our campers are doing each day.
Tonight, we’ll experience Kabbalat Shabbat together. To most, this is a very precious Berkshires experience. I look forward to joining 700 Ramah chanichim and tzevet (staff) as we welcome Shabbat together, as one community.
