Hannah GrossmanAfter graduating with a BA in Judaic and Near Eastern Studies, a BA in Comparative Literature and a certificate in Coastal and Marine Sciences from UMass Amherst in 2011, Hannah spent a fantastic year volunteering as a Jewish Service Corps fellow with the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (JDC) in Mumbai, India.  She is currently studying in the Pardes Center for Jewish Educators in Jerusalem and am excited to begin an MA program in experiential Jewish education at JTS in the Fall.

While this will be Hannah’s first summer at Ramah, she is not new to Jewish camping!  She grew up in Young Judaea camps where she spent five summers working in various roles- including counselor, education specialist and religious life coordinator. During Hannah’s year with the JDC she spent time at the Szarvas International Jewish Summer Camp in Hungary and helped prepare and lead Jewish camping experiences for the Indian Jewish youth group.  Hannah is thrilled to be Rosh Tzeirim this summer.
