What a week it was for Nitzanim! On Sunday, campers jumped in the bouncy castle before the rain put a damper on the evening. Despite the bad weather we had an awesome session of indoor rain dancing while CITs serenaded the edah with some of the best Hebrew songs. On Monday, tzrifim competed in an amazing trivia challenge, testing their wits in all things from US history, landmarks, pop culture and camp. As one of the highlights of the summer, chanichim dressed up like their favorite celebrities and performed skits for A Night of a Thousand Stars. On Wednesday, the CITs from Gesher surprised us with a Maccabiah featuring fierce competition between the Red Fire and Blue Ice teams. Covering themselves in face paint excited campers displayed a ton of ruach! Yesterday, a Ramah Nyack delegation of Nitzanim aged campers visited and we had a blast watching the Shorashim/Tzeirim production of “Noah” together followed by shirah around a bonfire. As we gear up for the end of first month, we are sad to see the first session chanichim leave, but can’t wait for the start of the second half of a fantastic Kayitz 2014!
