Nitzanim had an incredible 7th week of camp! On Yom Sport, we played hard and cheered loudly for our k’vutzot (teams)- yarok (green)/Peter Pan and kachol (blue)/Aladdin. We ended the day with the Zimriyah (song festival), where the entire camp sang Israeli rock songs. Our song was “Yo-Ya,” and we had so much fun singing it in front of the rest of camp! We watched the Solelim and Bogrim play, in which our rosh edah made a cameo appearance, and we celebrated Rosh Chodesh Elul with musical tefillot.
On Wednesday, we had “Yom Daled,” on which all of our activities began with the letter daled, including “disco,” “degel” (capture the flag), and “dimyon mudrach” (guided imagination). We’re both excited and a little sad about our last Shabbat in camp, and are looking forward to a fun-filled last few days of kayitz 2013!
