Nitzanim rocked shavua #3 of camp! During the sports clinic, we loved participating in everything from basketball to hip-hop, despite the hot weather. We had musical tefillot, sent torch signals (flashlights taped to brooms) all over camp to announce Rosh Chodesh, and played the bunkmate game. On Wednesday, we had Yom Mezeg Avir (weather), during which we went in the sprinklers (rain), decorated visors (sun), played twister (twister), finger painted (rainbow), and learned the berachot for different kinds of weather. We ended the afternoon with a “snow day,” and watched Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs while drinking hot chocolate! On Thursday, 5th graders from Camp Ramah in Nyack came to visit for an overnight, and we loved showing them around camp and having a medurah (bonfire) with them. After such a busy week, Nitzanim is really looking forward to Shabbat!
