Following Shabbat, which focused on the importance of understanding greater social issues such as how poverty affects members of the diverse communities in which we live, Machon bounced back into its regular schedule for two great two days preceding Tisha B’Av. On the fast of the 9th of Av, we remembered the destruction of the Temple,
but Machon also utilized the day to concentrate on Jewish identity. The rest of the week Machon was involved in a spirited game of paint twister, extreme ga-ga, and an awesome rikudiyah dance! As we get ready for Shabbat this week, we are thinking about Visiting Day and our upcoming tiyul — just over a week away! Shabbat Shalom!
