What a week for Machon 2013! It’s hard to believe, but it was just Sunday morning when we embarked from Ramah to head up to Boston for our first tiyyul of the kayitz! After an amazing visit to the Boston Museum of Science and a fantastic Duck tour, we headed to the Prudential Center tower and caught an impressive panoramic view of Boston. Delicious kosher Chinese food for dinner was the perfect ending to Day one before arriving at our host synagogue, Kehillath Israel.
Exploring Boston on Day two, we wandered from Quincy Market to the Commons with a lot in between (including Fenway!). Harvard Square and getting a feel for the college scene on Day three was a lot fun and was topped off by meeting a group of very Blue Men (Blue Man Group). On our last day, we traveled to Wingdale via the smallest state in the nation, touring the Touro Synagogue and seeing some rather magnificent mansions. After an exciting and exhilarating first tiyyul, Machon is super ready for a restful Shabbat b’machaneinu! Shabbat shalom!
