What a fun week it has been for Solelim!  After Shabbat, the entire Camp said havdalah together, which was followed by an exciting Chashi breakout.  During the following three days, the chanichim learned about Israel and many of the various products that have been produced in Israel in recent decades. Solelim had some of the most enthusiastic dancers to this year’s Shir Ha’Mishlachat, and everyone really appreciated all of the effort that our Mishlachat placed into creating a successful Chashi.

During the week, our chanichim also had many unique opportunities to engage in different activities around Camp.  During their Nisayon perek, some chanichim learned how to fence, while others made videos or learned to bake traditional Jewish foods.  On Tuesday, chanichim went rollerblading on the tennis courts, while today Solelim discovered their percussion skills in a program called “Musical IQ.”

One of the other highlights of the week was our trip to Lake Compounce on Wednesday.  It was great to see everyone getting soaked on the water slides, screaming on the rollercoasters, and enjoying the free soda that they were able to drink all day long.  Now that we’ve returned from our trip, Solelim has been gearing up for our next big event: our machazeh (play) “Guys and Dolls” which we will be performing on Sunday night!  We are looking forward to seeing all the chanichim’s hard work pay off!
