As we approach the last few days in this session, we’re still having fun and keeping busy in Cochavim! We started with Shabbat Taharut (competition), during which the tzrifim (bunks) competed in different activities and the madrichim (counselors) acted out scenes from the Torah involving competition, after which we discussed the differences between healthy and unhealthy competition. We ended Shabbat with a game of freeze tag, infused with the Hebrew words cham (hot) and kar (cold).
On Tuesday we filmed our edah video, singing our edah song so loudly that we could be heard across the kikar (field). Tuesday night was our talent show, where we showcased all the amazing talents that our chanichim brought with them to camp. The talent show led into our Yom Daled theme of Yom Pixar, during which we had “Cars” scooter races, “Toy Story” paper bag dramatics, and “Monsters Inc.” movie and trivia.
Thursday was our last “regular” day, and we ended it with the Zimriyah (song festival). Our edah sang “Chaverim” (“Friends”), which talks about bringing together all the Jews from near and far. We joined the entire Camp in singing some camp-wide songs, both new and old, and brought our ruach (spirit) to showcase.
We’re all looking forward to our last Shabbat of the session, Shabbat “Take Ramah Home with You,” and are making the most of the last few days we have together in Camp!
L’hitraot until Sunday! Shabbat Shalom from Cochavim!
