TA’AM RAMAH

Rosh Edah: Randi Navon

Randi is from Roslyn, NY. She graduated from the University of Delaware, where she studied Special Education. She also received her master’s degree from UD in Autism and Severe Disabilities. Currently, she is a 2nd grade teacher in New Castle, Delaware.  Kayitz 2020 will be Randi’s 12th summer at Camp; 7 summers as a chanicha and 5 summers on tzevet. Randi’s favorite part about being on tzevet is being able to fuse together her passion for teaching and Camp, and providing a supportive environment for the chanichimRandi is looking forward to bishul boker (outdoor cooking for breakfast) – especially for the Rocky Mountain toast!

COCHAVIM

Rosh Edah: Annie Cannon

Annie is from Livingston, New Jersey. She is currently a junior at Muhlenberg College, pursuing a B.A. in Jewish Studies and a teaching certification in elementary education.  Kayitz 2020 will be Annie’s 12th summer at Camp; 8 summers as a chanicha and 4 summers on tzevetAnnie’s favorite part about being on tzevet is sharing her love of Camp and Judaism with the next generation of chanichim and helping them to discover their home-away-from-home. Annie can’t wait for MAKOR and Kabbalat Shabbat this summer!

NITZANIM

Rosh Edah: Matan Mann
S’gan Rosh Edah: Hannah Margolis
 

Matan is from Teaneck, New Jersey.  He is currently a junior at Muhlenberg College studying music composition. Kayitz 2020 will be Matan’s 13th summer at Camp; 8 summers as a chanich and 5 summers on tzevet. (Plus he spent several summers as a staff kid!) Matan’s favorite part about being on tzevet is having a job that feels so rewarding and knowing that he is having a great impact on the lives of so many chanichim. Matan is excited to play Ultimate Frisbee this summer and is getting ready for a lot of rikkud (dancing)!

Hannah is from Scotch Plains, New Jersey. She is currently a student at Michigan State University, studying Interdisciplinary Studies and Jewish Studies. Kayitz 2020 will be Hannah’s 11th summer at Camp; 7 summers as a chanicha and 4 summers on tzevetHannah’s favorite part about being on tzevet is giving back to the place that provided her with such pivotal moments as a camper, and now being able to provide these moments for her chanichim. Hannah can’t wait to be back at her home-away-from-home this summer and to spend time on the water toys!

SHORASHIM

Rosh Edah: Jeremy Davis

Jeremy is from Merrick, New York. He is currently a junior at the University of Delaware Honors Program, with a double-major in Neuroscience and Psychology, and triple minor in Cognitive Science, Jewish Studies and Philosophy. Kayitz 2020 will be Jeremy’s 12th summer at Camp; 8 summers as a chanich and 4 summers on tzevet.  Jeremy’s favorite part about being on tzevet is the rewarding, fulfilling and impactful experience he is able to have knowing that he is helping to shape Jewish leaders of the future. Jeremy cannot wait to spend time on the farm this summer and is excited for delicious farm-to-table meals!

TZEIRIM

Rosh Edah: Paul Horvath
S’gan Rosh Edah: Shaya Kalmanofsky

Paul is from New York, New York. He is currently a senior at Princeton University, pursuing a major in Politics. Kayitz 2020 will be Paul’s 12th summer at Camp; 7 summers as a chanich and 5 summers on tzevetPaul’s favorite part about being on tzevet is being a mentor for the chanichim and giving them an incredible experience away from the “real world” for the summer. Paul is so excited for EVERYTHING this summer, but there is no doubt that you will often find him at the agam (lake) stand-up paddleboarding.

Shaya is from New York, New York. He is currently a junior at University at Buffalo studying History.  Kayitz 2020 will be Shaya’s 12th summer at Camp; 8 summers as a chanich and 4 summers on tzevetShaya’s favorite part about being on tzevet is having the opportunity to be a positive role model for the chanichim, just like he had from his madrichim (counselors) when he was a camper.  Shaya is so excited for Kayitz 2020 and cannot wait for all the high-energy dancing during rikkud!

SOLELIM

Rosh Edah: Ella Cooperman
S’gan Rosh Edah: Ariel Katz

Ella is from Marlboro, New Jersey. She graduated last year from List College, where she studied History and Bible.  She currently works for the Foundation for Jewish Camp (FJC) as an Operations Fellow.  Kayitz 2020 will be Ella’s 10th summer at Camp; 4 summers as a chanicha and 6 summers on tzevetElla’s favorite part about being on tzevet is having the ability to make an impact on Jewish youth and help shape their Jewish identity. Ella cannot wait for Kabbalat Shabbat,  Shabbat peulot (activities), the Rikkudiya (dance festival) and time on the water toys this summer!

Ariel is from Riverdale, NY. She is currently a student at List College, studying Psychology and Bible. Kayitz 2020 will be Ariel’s 17th summer at Camp; 13 summers as a chanicha (including her summers as a staff kid) and 4 summers on tzevetAriel’s favorite part about being on tzevet is being part of such an incredible community, and learning and growing together. Ariel is so excited for Kayitz 2020 and to enjoy the beautiful agam (lake) while stand-up paddleboarding.

BOGRIM

Rosh Edah: Adina Scheinberg

Adina is from Hoboken, NJ. She is currently a junior at Brandeis University, pursuing a double-major in History and American Studies, and double-minor in Legal Studies and Judaic Studies.  (This semester she is studying abroad in England!) Kayitz 2020 will be Adina’s 10th summer at Camp; 7 summers as a chanicha and 3 summers on tzevetAdina’s favorite part about being on tzevet is being able to create powerful Jewish communal experiences that she also got to experience as a camper. Adina cannot wait for Shabbat at Camp this summer, and is especially excited for the amazing tiyul (trip) Adat HaBogrim is taking to Balitmore and Philly.

MACHON

Rosh Edah: Shelly Tsirulik

Shelly is from West Orange NJ.  He is currently a senior at Harvard University, and looking forward to starting a position next fall with the Boston Consulting Group. Kayitz 2020 will be Shelly’s 10th summer at Camp; 5 summers as a chanich and 5 summers on tzevet. Shelly’s favorite part about being on tzevet is building meaningful relationships with the chanichim, and being inspired by them as he guides them in their journey. Shelly is looking forward to spending time on the Ultimate Frisbee field – one of his favorite activities at Camp!

GESHER

Rosh Edah: Noam Kornsgold

Noam is from East Windsor, NJ.  He graduated in 2017 from List College, and is currently in his 4th year of rabbinical school at JTS. Kayitz 2020 will be Noam’s 11th summer at Camp; 3 summers as a chanich and 8 summers on tzevet. Noam’s favorite part about being on tzevet is being able to spend time with the chanichim, and be part of their Jewish journey. Noam is looking forward to hanging out with the chanichim on the kikar and Friday night Shabbat shira (singing)!
