On Sunday, campers from Bogrim and Machon 2011 made their way to a low-income housing site owned by the Metropolitan Council on Jewish Poverty. We enjoyed packaging sandwiches for about 20 senior citizens and were able to spend time eating lunch with them and keeping them company.
In addition, we had the opportunity to learn about poverty versus low-income families, the statistics of hunger in our country, and the Jewish response to helping those in need. Additionally, campers shared their personal experiences and reflections on the day. Join us for the next cheesed project!
