Dear Camp Ramah in the Berkshires Families –
My name is Maya Mehlman (Gesher ’18). I am writing to let you know about an awesome opportunity to come together and help raise money and awareness for Jewish camping.
Like many of you, I have been a Jewish summer-camper my entire life. From Camp Yachad at the JCC of Central NJ, to eight summers of Camp Ramah in the Berkshires, and a summer with Ramah Israel Seminar, Camp has shaped who I am and given me friends and memories that will last a lifetime.
These amazing experiences were made possible by support my family received through a One Happy Camper grant and financial aid for my sister (Gesher 16’/Rosh Rikkud) and me. That is why I am riding in Jewish Federation of Greater MetroWest’s Tour de Summer Camps on September 22, 2019. Money raised through this bike ride will support One Happy Camper grants and need-based scholarships for families in Greater MetroWest to attend day and overnight Jewish summer camps!
I am so honored to be Captain of “Team Ramah Berkshires” and I want you to come and ride with me to help make the summers that have changed our lives possible for everyone. Tour de Summer Camps is going to be a really fun day for the entire family that will include a family ride for those who don’t want to ride the longer courses; a Family Fun Day with a bishul (BBQ); camp-style activities (expect to see some of our favorite Berkshires Staff) and a Rick Recht concert!
To join Team Ramah Berkshires, Click HERE then click the “Join Our Team” link on the right side of the page. Teen riders get a special discount so be sure to use the discount code TEENRIDER when registering. (I’m riding the 18-mile course, but if you want to ride the longer ones, go for it!)

I hope you will join me and our Ramah Berkshires Family in supporting this fun and important event in our community.
B’Hatzlecha,
Maya Mehlman
