Meet Our Camp Director

RABBI EYTAN KENTER

Eytan’s connections to Ramah run deep. He was a Shorashim camper at Ramah Berkshires, and later spent summers working at Ramah camps in Nyack, Poconos, Darom, and Canada. His Hebrew translations of Wicked and High School Musical are still being used at camps across North America.

Eytan has a Masters degree from the William Davidson School of Jewish Education and achieved rabbinic ordination from the Jewish Theological Seminary. His career includes Rabbi and Chief Learning Officer at Congregation B’nai Torah in Atlanta, GA and Senior Rabbi of Kehillat Beth Israel Congregation in Ottawa, Ontario Canada.

In his spare time, Eytan enjoys cooking and playing tennis and basketball. He is a pop culture buff and prides himself on the ability to have a conversation with almost anybody on almost any topic. He is married to Staci Zemlak-Kenter and is the proud Abba (dad) of future campers, Boaz and Reuvi.

Eytan can be contacted at ekenter@ramahberkshires.org.
