Special Programs

Ta’am Ramah

For entering third graders, Ta’am Ramah (Taste of Ramah) gives first time campers an eight day “taste” of the Ramah experience, guided by nurturing, experienced staff for this first time sleep-away camp experience. Campers learn why so many children return to Ramah summer after summer and return home talking about next summer.

Machon Trips

Campers entering tenth grade in our Machon division enjoy at least two extended trips out of camp. Past summers have included trips to Baltimore, Pennsylvania, Niagara Falls and Montreal.

Gesher/CIT Program

Our oldest campers, entering eleventh grade in our Gesher division learn important leadership skills, spending time as counselors in training (CIT) by helping our youngest campers with their daily activities. These campers receive specialized training from the Ramah Staff, as well as on-going instruction from visiting specialists during the summer. This last year, Gesher—meaning bridge—allows these campers to envision themselves as models and leaders to younger campers.

Ramah Israel Seminar
The Ramah experience is truly a continuum. Following a camper’s years at Ramah, he or she can join Ramahniks from across North America on an amazing six-week trip to Israel, Ramah Israel Seminar. For more information, click here.

Breira B’Ramah — Our Special Needs Program

In the spirit of inclusion, the Ramah Berkshires leadership recognized the need for an overnight camp experience for children with learning and social challenges. The Breira B’Ramah (literally, A Choice within Ramah) was created to provide the magic of a Ramah summer in a supportive environment for children with special needs from across North America.
